#ILoveMyCareer - Featuring Jane!

Published: 02/04/2019

Jane works in the office as Care Coordinator and loves what she does! She works closely with both staff and customers to make sure that the care they receive is delivered in a consistent and timely manner. We recently spent some time with Jane to find out a little more and are pleased to share her story with you here.

Working in care is a job like no other and for our amazing team, it is much more than 'just' a job. It is a passion; a lifestyle that drives them to put a smile on the face of people every day.

Bluebird Care has a very good reputation and often our staff join the team because of this. Many may have never worked in care professionally before and the support we provide enables them to excel in their roles.

Our Care Assistants choose to work in care because of a passion that they have for making a difference and community care certainly gives you the chance to do that!

This is why we launched #ILoveMyCareer which is our campaign where we have been sharing the stories of a number of staff over the coming months and explaining why they love their career in care!

This month we spent some time with Care Coordinator Jane, who has explained a little about her role and why she chose to work in care:
I work with the office team as Care Coordinator and work closely with our fantastic team of Care Assistants to look after the rotas that they receive.

As well as working closely with our Care Assistants, I regularly liaise with our customers to make sure that the care they receive is consistent and has a good continuity.

I love working in care and it seems to run in the family for me as both my mum and aunt were professional carers. It was this that inspired me to follow in their footsteps and work in care too!

I started out as a Care Assistant where I gained a lot of valuable knowledge that led to me working as a Senior Carer and then Care Coordinator elsewhere before joining the Bluebird Care Rother & Hastings Team.

In total I have over 21 years of experience in care and am as passionate today as I have ever  been!

My commitment is to delivering a high standard of care to those I support and I really love the fact that I am able to make a tangible difference through what I do each day.

Everyone who joins our team receives a comprehensive induction, shadowing and support throughout their career. To find out more and apply for a role, please phone 01797 225 797 or email rother.hastings@bluebirdcare.co.uk.
