John Keogh - Director
In 1990, John made the decision to join the Army, which led to a career of almost 26 years. Throughout his military service, he gained valuable skills and expertise, particularly in the field of security. After leaving the Army, he transitioned into the role of a Security Consultant, where he utilised his experience to support the business, particularly through his passion for training others. In John's words he served his country for over 2 decades and now wants to serve his local community. John greatly admires and appreciates the compassion demonstrated by individuals who choose careers in care. He hopes to fully support those who deliver care and make a positive impact in their work. Having served in numerous areas, John is thrilled to be back in his hometown, reconnecting with old acquaintances from school and his youth. The warm reception and friendliness he has experienced from the community have been heartwarming to him. In addition to his professional pursuits, John remains active in the community. He regularly attends local Veterans events, demonstrating his ongoing commitment to fellow servicemen and women. Football is another passion of John's, although he considers himself mostly retired. He still manages to enjoy playing a few times a week, if his granddaughter isn't keeping him wrapped around her finger. John's dedication to raising awareness of dementia is commendable. As a Dementia Friends champion, he actively promotes understanding and compassion for those affected by this increasingly prevalent condition. Returning to his hometown has ignited John's excitement to deliver excellent service to his customers and contribute to the broader team. His enthusiasm and diverse range of interests highlight his well-rounded character and commitment to making a positive impact in his community. Overall, John's experiences and passions demonstrate his dedication to serving others, spreading awareness, and making a difference in the lives of those around him.

Beryl Keogh - Director
Our Joint Owner Beryl, is a compassionate and experienced professional who has dedicated half her lifetime to working in vulnerable person environments. Beryl's journey within the Adult Care Sector began when her family returned to the UK in early 2013 after spending numerous years overseas. Prior to that, while raising her family, Beryl primarily worked in children's education, often focusing on Special Educational Needs (SEN). As a military family, they experienced frequent relocations, resulting in Beryl moving to 13 different homes in 23 years. Beryl takes immense joy in her role as a mother, even as her two sons have grown into adulthood. Whenever they visit, she can't help but shower them with the love and care she's always had for them. Born in Birch Hill Hospital, Rochdale, Beryl has a deep-rooted connection to her hometown. Being back home has brought her closer to her family and a large network of long-standing and loyal friends, creating a strong sense of community. One of the highlights of Beryl's life is spending time with her granddaughter, cherishing precious moments and creating lasting memories. When the opportunity arises, she enjoys traveling, exploring new places, and experiencing different cultures. As for her TV preferences, Beryl finds delight in watching Northern soaps, finding comfort in the familiar and relatable stories they portray. With her extensive experience, genuine care, and love for her community, Beryl is a valuable asset in the Care Sector. Her commitment to vulnerable individuals and her ability to understand their unique needs make her an invaluable member of any team. Beryl's journey has shaped her into a compassionate and dedicated carer, and she continues to make a positive impact in the lives of those she serves.

The people behind our outstanding care.

Georgia Paul - Business Support & People Officer
Georgia has been part of the Bluebird Care Rochdale family since May 2019, starting her journey as a Care Assistant before moving into the office team. After welcoming her first son in 2020, she returned from maternity leave and was offered a new challenge by John and Beryl — taking on an office-based role where she quickly became known as our “Special Projects Lady.” Since then, Georgia has become an invaluable part of the office, getting involved in a bit of everything — from rotas and recruitment to office admin, social media, and looking after our website. After the arrival of her second son in 2022, she returned once again to continue supporting the team. Now, she’s preparing to welcome her third child in February and is as busy as ever! Outside of work, Georgia loves spending time with her family and making memories on days out with her children. She’s a big music lover and enjoys going to concerts when she gets the chance. She also enjoys good food, finding new places to eat and relaxing with a great TV series in the evenings. A fun fact about Georgia — she’s an avid collector of Jellycat teddies, which she thinks are just the cutest! Her dislikes? Being stuck in traffic — something we can all relate to!
Megan Chambers - Supervisor
Megan joined the Bluebird Care Rochdale team in September 2025 as our Care Supervisor. In her role, Megan supports both our care staff and customers — carrying out assessments, spot checks, and supervisions to ensure everyone receives the highest standard of care and support. She’s the link between the office team and our carers in the community, helping everything run smoothly day to day. Megan particularly enjoys visiting customers and meeting new customers and their families. Before joining Bluebird Care, Megan worked at Springhill Hospice, where she cared for people with compassion and trained other care staff from companies across Rochdale. Her wealth of experience and knowledge make her a fantastic addition to our team, and her professionalism and caring nature shine through in everything she does. Outside of work, Megan loves going to the gym, walking her Jack Russell Bella, and horse riding with her horse Cushla, often taking part in horse shows — including occasional overnight stays. She dislikes late nights and when things feel unorganised or chaotic. Megan’s dedication and care are evident both in her professional role and in her personal passions, making her a valued member of the Bluebird Care family.

Dawn Pedley - Accounts Manager
Dawn joined the Bluebird Care Rochdale team in June 2022 and has been a valued member of the team ever since. She began her journey as a Care Assistant and in 2025, Dawn took on a new challenge and stepped into her current role as Accounts Manager. In her role, Dawn manages the financial side of the business — from invoicing and payroll to making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Her strong organisational skills and attention to detail ensure both staff and customers are well supported. Even with her busy office role, Dawn still delivers care on some evenings and weekends. She is incredibly passionate about her work and always goes above and beyond for our customers. Her caring nature and commitment make her a true asset to the Bluebird Care team and both staff and customers have nothing but positive things to say about her. Outside of work, Dawn loves spending time with her grandchildren and enjoys making special memories with them — including going skydiving with her granddaughter this year! When she’s not working hard, she enjoys relaxing at her caravan, although everyone agrees that Dawn is a bit of a workaholic who’s always happiest when she’s helping others.
Luke Entwistle - Care Co-Ordinator
We’re delighted to welcome Luke to the Bluebird Care family as our new Care Coordinator. Although Luke has only recently joined us, he brings with him a wealth of experience, having previously worked in this role and developed a strong understanding of the care sector. Luke is passionate about connecting with people and making a positive difference in their lives — values that align perfectly with Bluebird Care’s mission of providing compassionate, person-centred support. Outside of work, Luke enjoys spending time with his family. He has been happily married for 19 years and is a proud father of two sons. Together, they love exploring different parts of the UK, discovering new places, and learning about history and family heritage, which are two of Luke’s greatest interests. In his spare time, Luke also dedicates himself to running a voluntary counselling service in Oldham and Ashton, which has recently been honoured with The King’s Award for Voluntary Service in recognition of 18 years of outstanding contribution to the community. Luke’s deep empathy, leadership skills, and commitment to helping others make him a fantastic addition to our team — and we’re thrilled to have him on board.
