Here at Bluebird Care, we’re able to support young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) so they can take part in school life with confidence, surrounded by other children who are excited to learn, engage and explore new ways of thinking.

Our care professionals are fully equipped to work alongside schools, providing one-to-one support during the school day, so children can access their education in a way that feels right for them, while teachers are free to do what they do best: teach.

What is SEN Care?

SEN care is tailored support for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

This might include support for those with:

- Autism

- Learning disabilities

- Physical disabilities

- Complex health needs

Our role is simple. We help children take part in learning and daily school activities safely and comfortably, with the right support around them.

What does this support look like?

Our care professionals work in partnership with schools to provide practical, one-to-one support. This can include:

· Classroom Support: Helping pupils stay engaged in lessons and activities, in line with their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

· Personal Care: Support with toileting, feeding, hydration and mobility. Always with dignity and respect.

· Support Beyond the Classroom: Helping children access learning at home or in community settings when needed.

· Support for Complex Needs: Caring for children with medical or behavioural needs, following safeguarding guidance and working closely with school teams.

Educational Enablers

Our care professionals can also support children to build confidence and life skills in line with their individualised Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). This could include:

· Support with homework

· Encouraging social interaction

· Helping children take part in school activities

· Building everyday life skills

· Support at home to help children access learning

Working with schools and local authorities

We partner with schools, local authorities and specialist providers to deliver safe, reliable care during the school day.
