Over the past two years, offices across the network have come together to raise an incredible £100,000 for Alzheimer’s Society. This goes to show what’s possible when we get behind a cause so close to our hearts.
Together with the National Support Team, offices have been taking part in a wide range of fundraising activities. From sponsored walks and mountain climbs to bake sales, community events, skydives and marathons, every effort big or small has played a part in reaching this incredible total.
Many of the customers we support are living with dementia, it’s something our teams see every single day. That’s why this cause means so much not just to our customers, but to their loved ones and the people who care for them.

One standout moment came from a group in the Central region who took on the challenge of climbing Snowdon. Reflecting on this experience, Lucy Jackson, Quality Manager, shared:
“It was challenging, but standing at the summit knowing we had done it for such an important cause made it really special.”
Her words reflect the spirit shown across the network. This wasn’t just about raising money, it was about showing support, raising awareness, and standing with the people and families affected by Alzheimer’s.
Wah Akram, Director of Bluebird Care Northumberland South, who has raised over £3700 with his team after taking part in an Elf Run in 2025, said:
“We all felt amazing. A few running on the day were running for parents who are no longer here so it was emotional, but a massive achievement to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s Society.”
The impact of this fundraising will be great. Alzheimer’s Society provides support, advice and research that helps people live well with dementia. The money raised will help more people access the support they need, when they need it. After seeing we’d hit the £100k, their team said:
“This is a phenomenal achievement, and one that has only been possible because of each and every one of you that has donated and taken part in a fundraiser.
Thanks to your support and fundraising, people affected by dementia can access crucial support services. This means they have someone to turn to for expert advice and emotional support that is invaluable when navigating the maze of dementia.”
This achievement says a lot about the people behind Bluebird Care. It demonstrates the care, kindness and commitment that runs through every office across the network.

To everyone who took part, donated, or supported in any way, thank you. Reaching £100,000 is something to be proud of. And more importantly, it will make a real difference to people living with Alzheimer’s and their families.
And we aren’t stopping here – there will be plenty more fundraising activities taking part in 2026 and beyond! We can’t wait to see what else we can achieve when we come together.
