The Bluebird Care Club is a concept, currently being piloted in Manningtree (Essex), which is an exciting way to meet people, enjoy new experiences and generally have a good time. It is designed for people who want more out of life and who wish to make the most of their time out of the house. We have created a whole range of different programmes for people who would like to be actively involved in their choice of activities.

A pilot scheme of the Bluebird Care Club is now running in Manningtree, Essex.

What is it?

The Bluebird Care Club is a concept, currently being piloted in Manningtree (Essex), which is an exciting way to meet people, enjoy new experiences and generally have a good time. It is designed for people who want more out of life and who wish to make the most of their time out of the house. We have created a whole range of different programmes for people who would like to be actively involved in their choice of activities. 

The Bluebird Care Club is designed for its Members and everyone has a say in what happens. We are innovative and inclusive so we organise activities and events that our Members would like; our activities range from small groups reading the newspapers and discussing current affairs to days out to local attractions or events. We can also arrange treatments and therapies to alleviate discomfort or everyday difficulties.

Who is it for?

Anyone who would like to join!  Many of our members are in the older age group and we also run specialist half-day sessions for people with physical disabilities or other sessions for those with learning difficulties. The Bluebird Care Club is run for its Members, and we will do everything we can to accommodate everyone’s requirements. We have trained and friendly staff on duty to assist our Members with their individual needs and we will always ensure that everyone is safe and well cared-for.

Membership

You only pay for the activities you choose. Sessions are usually for half a day, mornings or afternoons, and you can choose which activities to attend. It is always best to book in advance to avoid disappointment but we will always do our best to accommodate your requirements.

Special outings will sometimes require a longer time to allow for travel and to make the most of the opportunity, so these details will be announced well in advance to ensure you have the time to plan your day.

PLEASE NOTE: While we test the concept under this pilot scheme, the Bluebird Care Club is currently only available to the communities within in the Manningtree area.
