The role of Dementia Friends Ambassador has recently been created by the Alzheimer's Society in its continuing bid to raise awareness of the charity, its work and help inspire more people.
Formerly known as a Dementia Friends Champion, the role of Ambassador is designed to help even more people living with dementia by raising the Alzheimer’s Society’s profile in local communities as a vital source of information and support for anyone affected by dementia.

I'm proud and delighted to be taking on the new role of Dementia Friends Ambassador. People living with dementia and their families were really badly affected by the Covid pandemic. So there is a lot more to do when it comes to ensuring that everyone affected by dementia has access to the care and support they need. I'm really looking forward to getting out into the community and making lots more Dementia Friends.
