Bluebird Care Leek & Biddulph is proud to announce that Louise Hawksworth, our dedicated Care Supervisor and Wellbeing Champion, has recently achieved her Certificate in Mental Health First Aid and Mental Health Advocacy.
In her role as Wellbeing Champion, Louise is passionate about promoting positive mental health and emotional resilience among our care team. Her new qualification enables her to provide informed, compassionate support to staff members experiencing stress, anxiety, or emotional challenges — whether related to work or home life.
As part of her expanded responsibilities, Louise will now be offering one-to-one and group wellbeing sessions for all staff at Bluebird Care Leek & Biddulph. These sessions are designed to create a safe and supportive space for open conversation, reflection, and practical guidance — delivered in a positive and engaging way.
The initiative has already been warmly welcomed by our care team, who appreciate the proactive steps being taken to prioritise mental health and staff wellbeing. The first group session is scheduled for 4th June, with more to follow in the coming months.
Louise commented:
Supporting our staff’s mental health is just as important as ensuring their physical safety. I’m thrilled to be able to offer these sessions and be someone our team can turn to for support, whether they’re going through a tough time at work or at home.
Bluebird Care Leek & Biddulph continues to champion a culture where wellbeing is a priority. Louise’s training and dedication mark a meaningful step forward in our commitment to building a happy, healthy, and resilient care team.
We’re incredibly proud of Louise’s achievement and excited to see the positive impact her new role will have on our entire team.
