Regional Bluebird Care Awards 2026

Celebrating Success at the Bluebird Care Regional Awards 2026   R-L Alyson, Rachel , Steph, and Cheyenne

The Bluebird Care brand is respected across the country for delivery of premium quality homecare services, both visiting care and live-in care.  This annual awards ceremony recognises the most exceptional achievements across the full Northern region of the network and comprises over 100 differently owned businesses in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

We are so incredibly proud that FOUR members of our team were selected to attend the finalists dinner in Leeds this month.  And TWO chosen as winners in their category!  This is absolutely our best achievement so far and reflects the effort we put in to go above and beyond what's expected, even by Bluebird Care standards.

Our two glorious winners were:

Cheyenne De Almeida  - Customer Care Award

Steph Anderson - Community Engagement Award

Cheyenne's win was recognition of her boundless compassion for the situation our vulnerable customers find themselves in, no matter how challenging that that can be to work with.  A stand out example was one customer telling us recently that without Cheyenne he wouldn’t be here. She had “literally saved” him, guiding him towards taking personal responsibility and rediscovering his independence skills. She had calmly worked with him to make sense of his challenges and helping him to get through his lowest point.  Cheyenne succeeded in helping this person improve his quality of life where others hadn't.

After her win, Cheyenne reflected, "I’m so grateful for this opportunity and for the appreciation shown towards my work. It’s not easy being a carer but it’s a relief to know that I’m doing my job right even with all the challenges that it comes with. I’m overwhelmed and shocked for winning this award as I work with such an amazing team who are all excellent and in my eyes should be given awards everyday for their hard work. I thank bluebird, my clients and my team for helping me grow into who I am today."BBC_Regional_Awards_Leeds_JUL26_080

Steph won based on her outreach work with schools and colleges, promoting care as a rewarding career choice.  She’s also done a huge amount to raise funds and awareness for local charities, such as St Johns Hospice and Alzheimers Society, as well as encouraging all members of our team to get out and get involved. Steph is the life and soul of Bluebird Care Lancaster &South Lakeland, arranging our own annual awards party and Christmas festivities.  There isn't a venue in Lancaster that doesn't know Steph by now!

She shared these thoughts with us, "I am so proud to win this award. I'm passionate about changing perceptions of care work. It's so much more than just a ‘job’, it's a career full of opportunities, growth, and purpose. Myself, I’ve discovered that what I thought would be just a stepping stone is exactly where I’m meant to be!  Whether it's inspiring someone to start a career in care, supporting a community initiative, or simply making one person's day a little brighter, every connection matters.

Finalists were:

Alyson Hartlebury - Registered Manager of the Year

Rachel Turner - Care Professional of the Year
