We are incredibly proud to share a remarkable story about one of our wonderful customers, Ken Knowles, who recently celebrated his 100th birthday.
As part of Morecambe's D-Day and VE-Day Memories project, Ken was interviewed for a short documentary film produced by David Evans of Bluebird Care for Morecambe Heritage Centre. Ken served in the Royal Army Ordinance Corps during the Second World War, traveling to India and supporting the troops fighting in Burma.
The film camptures Ken's wartime memories first-hand, ensuring that these important stories are preserved for future generations. The interview was carried out by two cadets from Lancaster Royal Grammar School, who were honoured to meet Ken and learn about his service.
Ken is a much-loved customer of Bluebird Care Lancaster & South Lakeland, and we are privileged to support him in his home and be part of his incredible journey.
