Celebrating Kirsti Mace: A Regional Finalist in Palliative Care!

We're thrilled to announce that Kirsti Mace, Supervisor and a shining star in our Bluebird Care team, has been named a regional finalist in the South West Region of the Great British Care Awards in the palliative carer category!
I have 30 years care experience and have worked in all area’s of care and now work in Domiciliary Care for the elderly. I specialize in palliative care and am also a Dementia Link worker. I was the lead in our franchise achieving Gold Standard Framework Accreditation and I am passionate about providing outstanding quality care by ensuring all people’s wishes are known and met at the end of their life. I am respected by my colleagues, and as a supervisor, I aspire to lead and inspire others by my own example.

Kirsti's remarkable journey includes 30 years of diverse care experience, specialising in palliative care and serving as a Dementia Link worker. She's the driving force behind our Gold Standard Framework Accreditation, ensuring outstanding quality care that honours individual wishes.
"Kirsti has been instrumental in implementing the Gold Standard Framework into our working practices at Bluebird Care. Alongside her usual commitments, Kirsti has made time to gather evidence, and implement new ways of working, to ensure the highest standards of care particularly for those people at the end of their life. In addition to this, she has gone the extra mile on many occasions. On one occasion she provided overnight care whilst she was supposed to be on annual leave. An individual we cared for was at the end of her life. Kirsti had known this lady for some years and wanted to make sure she wasn't alone, as the lady's son was having difficulty getting back from overseas. Kirsti practices what she preaches, and inspires the whole team, leading by example"
