September Long Service Anniversaries

This month we're celebrating five amazing team members who have long service anniversaries with us.
This September, we’re celebrating five long service anniversaries at Bluebird Care Edinburgh. We love to celebrate our team members because without each member of our team delivering the high-quality home care service that we do just wouldn’t be possible. It’s even more special when it’s a long service award three of these individuals joined us during a difficult 18 months and it looks like they’ve converted to the world of home care.
This month, we’re celebrating the following ladies:
- Lynda Evans, Jai Georgeson and Lauryn McGrath celebrate their first year anniversary
- Lisa Popp and Elaine Robertson celebrate their second anniversary with us
We spoke to this lovely bunch to understand why they love working in-home care and specifically with us.
Bluebird Care have provided so much support, from training still through to today. Unfortunately, one of my customers passed away and I couldn’t thank the office team enough for how they supported me through it as it did hit me quite hard. Typically, you may start a new job with several people but they come and go, it’s really nice to know that a few of us started on the same day and we’re still delivering home care with one another. One memory that stands out to me in the past year is one of the customers I visit, specifically mentioned me in one of their reviews and said when I visited him, it truly made his day. This was very touching as I knew I was making a difference in his life.

It’s been an absolute pleasure working with the Bluebird Care family. These last 18 months have been difficult but the support from Jane Perry and all the office team has been amazing. I feel like I’ve developed varied skills throughout my time with Bluebird Care, I’ve even been able to mentor and support new starters. I love my job because I am so passionate about caring for others, the smiles and positivity you receive from each customer gives you all the rewards you need.
