Dementia help at home ...the right support can be life changing

What is Dementia Care?

Living with dementia and memory loss can be challenging not only for the person affected but also for those who support them.  It’s easier to help yourself, eat the right foods and exercise when you’re confident in your surroundings and routines.

At least I've now got one less thing to worry about in that Bluebird are looking after Mum and she seems so much better. The Alzheimer's is not going to improve, but her physical health has improved a lot, thanks to Mary and her elves!

For people with dementia, the stability of being safe at home in a familiar environment, close to the people and things that they know and love is of even greater importance.

Bluebird Care can help..

We are dementia care specialists

Our expert team have successfully supported people with all types of memory loss for many years, providing dementia help at home.

Initially, a couple of visits a day to provide a little assistance and companion care may be all that’s needed to continue living at home.  As the condition progresses and it is no longer safe and comfortable to live alone, Live-in Care is a low stress, cost effective way to make sure that the person affected can continue to live as and where they want, for as long as they want, even to the end of life without needing either residential care homes or nursing homes .

Caring for Dementia

Bluebird Care lead the way in Dementia care

offering Companion Care, Live-in Care,  Respite, Home from Hospital support and Home Care focusing on keeping our Customers happy, secure, active, engaged and safe in their own home.

When I called initially, it was because mum wasn’t receiving good care and in fact, she kept on turning the carers away because she didn’t like them.  What a difference!  Eva is so patient and firm with mum and mum is so fond of her, you can see she really enjoys her company.  In fact, she often takes more notice of her than she does of me.  Typical!!  I honestly don’t know what I would have done if I’d been on my own.

We can help with all aspects of day to day living and the physical and cognitive changes that take place as the condition progresses.

We work closely with everyone involved, maintaining independence for as long as possible.  Our Live-in Care   Home Care   Respite Care offer the opportunity for that much needed step away – be it for a short time or a longer period – with the security that comes with knowing that we have simply taken over where you left off.

Can I just let you know whilst writing that two of dad’s visitors have commented to me just how well they think Ester looks after him.  They say she was brilliant with him and really cares for him.  You don’t know how lovely that is to hear and how reassuring it is for me to know that Ester is with him.  That’s exactly the kind of care I was hoping for when we came to Bluebird.  Thank you.

We adopt an holistic approach to providing dementia services: continually improving the knowledge and skills within our organisation, working closely with healthcare professionals and other experts in the field.

I know my dad is safe with Bluebird when I am unable to come…his face lights up and changes when he sees Sandra, my dad becomes a different person and I’m so glad they get on so well. Thank you
