Staffordshire Dignity in Care Awards – Nominations Now Open
We’re pleased to share that nominations are now open for the Staffordshire Dignity in Care Awards 2026. These awards celebrate the incredible individuals and teams across the county who go above and beyond to support others with dignity, compassion, and respect.
The awards include a wide range of categories, recognising excellence across all areas of care:
Newcomer to Care Dignity Champion
Long Service Dignity Champion
Community Service Dignity Champion
Care Home Dignity Champion
Registered or Deputy Manager Dignity Champion
Unpaid Carer or Voluntary Worker
Palliative / End of Life Dignity Champion
Care Team Dignity Champion
Clinical Role Dignity Champion
Anyone can submit a nomination — including customers, families, professionals, and members of the public. If you know someone who consistently demonstrates dignity in their work or caring role, this is a wonderful opportunity to recognise them.
What makes a strong nomination?
The most successful nominations include real examples that show the difference someone has made. This could be a moment of exceptional kindness, a creative solution to support someone’s independence, or consistent dedication that has had a positive impact.
Why these awards matter
Celebrating dignity in care helps to:
Highlight the outstanding work happening across our community
Boost confidence and morale for those nominated
Raise awareness of high‑quality, compassionate care
Strengthen local partnerships and community pride
Last year, several members of our team were nominated, with one shortlisted for an award — a fantastic achievement that meant a great deal to them.
How to nominate
Nominations are open until July 2026, giving plenty of time to reflect on the people who make a real difference every day.
