Bluebird Care Birmingham East is celebrating their fantastic team of care assistants, and the difference they make across the Birmingham community every day, as part of a national campaign, which launched on Monday 2nd July.

The #MakeADifference campaign, headed up by Bluebird Care’s franchise support centre, aims to highlight and raise awareness of care at home as a profession, which enables vulnerable people to receive the care and support they require in the comfort of their own homes. The purpose of the campaign is so we can showcase why the Bluebird Care Birmingham East team of care assistants are #ProudtoCareAtHome.

With the rapidly increasing ageing population and rising numbers of people living with complex conditions - that require specialist care – such as dementia, Parkinson’s and Huntington’s disease, and more people choosing to opt for care at home, our campaign aims to highlight how patient, kind and compassionate individuals can make a real difference working in care at home.
Bluebird Care Birmingham East will be hosting various events and seminars throughout July - August to promote the campaign.

Shabila Hussain, Bluebird Care Birmingham East longest-standing care assistant – of over 01 years, said:
“I know I am making a difference in my local community, and helping individuals remain in their own home.  Moving can be unsettling, so anything we can do to prevent this should be done. I love spending time with my customers, hearing the stories, seeing the photos. I love being a care assistant.

Care Manager of Birmingham East, Sue Manickam commented:
“Via the #MakeADifference campaign, we want all individuals to learn more about how rewarding a career in home care can be, the huge difference you can make to the people that you support, and why so many of our Bluebird Care care assistants are #ProudToCareAtHome.

Quote from Bluebird Care Director
“This is a fantastic campaign which aims to highlight the vital work that home care assistants across the country are providing day in, day out. We would like to thank all our wonderful care assistants at Bluebird Care Birmingham East, and to encourage anyone who thinks they have the right qualities, to get in touch and consider a career with us.”
