Bluebird Care Worthing are taking part in the ‘Get Festive’ campaign organised by St Barnabas House. To ‘Get Festive’ this Christmas, all you need to do is hold a festive themed fundraising event, with all proceeds going to the hospice.

St Barnabas is a charity whose aim is to provide high quality specialist palliative care both within the hospice and in the comfort of patients’ homes, treating adults with advanced progressive life-limiting illnesses. Patients are never charged for their care. It costs nearly £6 million each year to run the hospice and only a small part of these costs are state funded. This means that the majority of the money has to be raised through voluntary donations from local communities within the Worthing, Adur, Arun and Henfield areas.

Here at Bluebird Care Worthing, we are organising two special days at our office to support the campaign. On Thursday 10th December, we will be hosting a ‘Mince Pie Mingle’. Our office staff, dressed up as reindeers, will be providing a reindeer mince pie delivery service to other businesses within the Azure Suite on Churchill Court. On Thursday 17th December, we will be holding a Food and Drink themed raffle draw, with the main prize featuring a luxury food and drink hamper.

Bluebird Care Worthing’s Registered Manager, Louise Gall, commented:

This is the first year we have been involved in supporting St Barnabas House. They are our local adult hospice and we visited the St Barnabas Hospice Outreach Project information vehicle, which parks regularly on Churchill Parade near our office. After finding out about the range of services and amazing work the hospice does, we didn’t hesitate to sign up for Get Festive. We are looking forward to our Get Festive days and would like to thank the other companies in our office block for joining in the fun.”
Mary Bye, Community Fundraiser for St Barnabas House hospice said:

We are delighted that Bluebird Care have signed up to support Get Festive with not just one but two Get Festive days. Their brilliant idea of involving the other offices in the block will create a fun and festive atmosphere and raise a lot of much needed awareness of St Barnabas House and the work we do.”
