Easter Surprise at Osborne School

Published: 26/03/2024

Easter came early at Osborne School this week, after we arranged for the Easter Bunny to make a surprise visit and hand deliver chocolate eggs to all their pupils.

The festive initiative is part of our ongoing partnership with Osborne School, which is a maintained special school for children with learning disabilities.

We support their pupils with personal care, moving & positioning, and nutrition & hydration, which has transformed the landscape of care provision at the school. With our dedicated team managing any care needs, Osborne’s teaching staff are afforded more time to focus on the children’s education.

Bluebird Care celebrate Easter with Osborne School

To celebrate the success of the partnership, we surprised all pupils with a special visit from the Easter bunny, and an early Easter egg. In return, Osborne School’s pupils had a surprise of their own. Over 220 pupils had personally crafted hundreds of Easter greetings cards, which were then hand delivered to our customers.

Sonia White, Headteacher of Osborne School, said: “The support that Bluebird Care provide to our pupils is first class, and their team has fitted into the school seamlessly. The partnership has allowed us to enhance our learning programmes, and we are delighted that Bluebird Care have been so engaged with us. It really is wonderful that they did something special like this for our pupils.”

Norman Murphy, Managing Director of Bluebird Care Winchester, Eastleigh and Romsey, said: “It’s been a pleasure to bring our care services into an educational setting, and our partnership with Osborne School has shown what a wonderful difference dedicated care assistants can make to their pupils’ lives. We have loved every minute of working with the school, and we were delighted to provide some early Easter cheer before their holidays.”
