Bluebird Care rated five-star outstanding

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) have awarded their highest possible quality rating to Bluebird Care Winchester, Eastleigh & Romsey.

Bluebird Care received the rating after being classed as 'Outstanding' in all five of the CQC's inspection categories.

This is the first time a home care provider in England has received five outstanding grades.

The CQC inspects all care services in the country and assesses providers on five key categories: safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.

"We are blown away to be officially recognised as the best in home care. It's taken so much passion and commitment from the team and we really couldn't be prouder."

Andrea Sutcliffe, CQC Chief Inspector of Adult Social Care, said: "The quality of care which our inspectors found while inspecting services at Bluebird Care Winchester, Eastleigh & Romsey was exceptional, and I am very pleased that we can celebrate their achievements.

"The report highlights so many elements of really good practice - fantastic leadership, the use of technology to enrich the quality of care, a real focus on nurturing staff's skills and development and such an obvious and dedicated focus on the people using the service.
