Local Carers Celebrate Elf Day for Dementia Fundraiser

Our carers, dressed as elves, brought smiles to people’s faces, increased awareness of dementia and raised £200 in honour of this year’s Alzheimer’s Society’s National Elf Day fundraising campaign.

Local carers have raised money and brought smiles to people’s faces in honour of this year’s Alzheimer’s Society’s National Elf Day fundraising campaign.

The team at Bluebird Care Wiltshire South spread festive cheer among the local community as they raised £200 for the dementia support charity, and increased community awareness of the condition.

The group of Care Assistants at the leading local home care provider dressed as elves as they went about their visits to customers in the local area – providing care and support to help people to live well in their own homes.

Customers loved receiving visits from the festive elves, and the care teams enjoyed spending the day together spreading Christmas cheer.

The money raised will go towards supporting Alzheimer’s Society’s mission to create a society where all those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, and able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

Bluebird Care Wiltshire South provide care, support and companionship for people throughout the local area who live in their own homes – including many people living with dementia.

Every penny counts towards making Alzheimer’s Society’s mission come to life, and we are so grateful for everybody’s generous donations. However, Elf Day is also about bringing awareness to the local community, and it was great to see people really coming together to learn more about dementia and how we can all work together to support those living with the condition.”
