A 22-year-old product design student has a grandmother with dementia and wanted to help support her. She created a box to help remember the order of how to do day-to-day tasks. This device allows someone to record instructions for each button so that people with dementia can follow step by step instructions and the device also has a light for what task they are doing to help them remember. This recording can be by a carer or family member so that they feel more reassured. The box is versatile so you can place this box anywhere in the house with different tasks for each room.  This helps people to maintain better independence and feel as though they can still do tasks. Its great to see that university students are taking an interest in dementia and helping to support their lives. As the cases are on the rise, inventing products like this is what people will need to be able to stay in their own home and have some sort of independence and quality of life.
