Bluebird Care Sevenoaks in the national news!

In March, 2015, the Sunday Mirror ran an article on the new Care Act which featured one of our oldest and longest-standing homecare customers. The Care Act marks the most significant reform in social care for over 60 years and simplifies legislation from more than 30 acts of Parliament into one modern law.

Barbara has been looking after her mum, Bess, in her home for several years. Bess, who turned 100 in March, 2015, has advanced dementia and is blind.

As is commonplace, Bess's needs were moderate and managable for a number of years until the situation suddenly changed in 2012 when she had a stroke.

"She needed a lot more care", Barbara said. "It came to the point where I couldn’t leave her in the house alone.”

It was at this point that she decided to contact Bluebird Care and put a proper care and support package in place for Bess, which lifted some of the weight from her shoulders and gave her the peace of mind to continue with her life as normal in the knowledge that Bess would be properly looked after.

"Bluebird has been an absolute lifeline for me".
The Care Act ought to help further.
