Throughout December Bluebird Care Richmond & Twickenham will be collecting for Richmond Foodbank – an organisation that provides emergency food and household supplies for local people in crisis.

In the past year almost 2,500 emergency packages have been given out from their distribution centres in Richmond, Barnes, Hampton and Isleworth: helping people who are in need – maybe through illness, losing their job or some other emergency.

We approached the foodbank to offer to collect for a ‘reverse’ advent calendar: bringing in goods every day for distribution at Christmas. The recent harvest festival collections have provided enough food for the Christmas period but they are short of some personal and household goods for people in need. Often people donate items when they get a buy one get one free offer at the supermarket – every donation is appreciated.

If you have anything on the list below that you can donate, please bring it in to the office we’ll take a package over to their collection point.

No gift is too small.
