Virginie's Journey

In acknowledgement of During National Career Development Month, we shine a spotlight on Virginie, a Richmond & Twickenham Bluebird of ten years.

Virginie's career in care began with a deep-seated commitment to community service. For years, she dedicated her time to supporting orphanages in Kenya and Zimbabwe then, for four years preceding his passing, she cared with unwavering dedication for her late husband. Virginie wanted to continue helping people, so with her background in Health & Social Care, she embarked upon a new career as a carer.

In 2013, Virginie joined Bluebird Care, initially as a Care Assistant, but within six months she'd been promoted to a supervisory role, supporting other Bluebirds in the field. In 2017, she stepped into the position of Customer Care Manager. During her time with us, Bluebird Care has supported Virginie with every training she has aspired to pursue. She has completed “Train the Trainer” and “Moving & Handling” training and is the office's first aider.

Our Registered Manager Jacqui said: “Virginie was a carer who worked very hard and continued to show how popular she is with our customers. She knows the Richmond borough VIPs of care very well which means she can source superb solutions for her customers. Her dedication and passion for the care industry show in her communications with her customers.”

Speaking on career development with Bluebird Care, Virginie commends the company for keeping her skills up-to-date and fostering a strong sense of teamwork, commenting:
