Bluebird Care Merton supports Time to Talk Day 2022

Start conversations about mental health and help fight the stigma!

This is the aim of Time to Talk Day 2022 which takes place on Thursday 3rd February and local homecare provider Bluebird Care Merton is thoroughly behind it!

The important campaign brings to the light the Power of Small. Having small conversations about mental health can have the power to make a big difference in the lives of others. The more conversations there are about mental health, the greater the understanding and awareness.

Each year, about 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem.

The coronavirus pandemic means that more than ever people are feeling isolated. It is important to check on friends and family members, listen to them and ask questions. A change in attitude towards mental health can make a big difference to someone’s life and decrease the stigma attached to mental health.

Jay Patel, Director of Bluebird Care Merton, commented:

“It’s not easy to open up and talk about your feelings. If you notice that a friend or family member is acting differently, reaching out to them can make a huge difference. There are also many organisations who can help mental health by providing confidential and non-judgemental emotional support.

It’s important to raise awareness and challenge the stigma discrimination around mental health.”

There are many online events to show your support and raise awareness of mental health. To learn more and get involved in the Time to Talk Day campaign visit: www.time-to-change.org.uk
