This May Bluebird Care Greenwich is supporting the Stroke Association’s annual stroke awareness month, Make May Purple. The Stroke Association is the UK’s leading stroke charity who strongly believe strokes can and should be prevented, however this health challenge does not receive the attention or funding it requires. The organisation works directly with stroke survivors and their families, health and social care professionals and scientists and researchers.

Bluebird Care Red Nose Day Fun

Bluebird Care Greenwich opened their doors last Friday for an afternoon of coffee, cake and laughter. Staff from the home-care provider served refreshments to visitors and passers-by for Red Nose Day, and raised almost £100 for doing so.

Older people in Greenwich set to benefit from Community Grant

A Greenwich care provider has launched its first Community Grant scheme – a sum of money that could benefit any local group in the Royal Borough of Greenwich working with older people or those living with a disability.   Bluebird Care opened its office almost four years ago in the local area, and ever since has been working hard to support other organisations across the district.

Over 700 Greenwich runners keep cool, thanks to Bluebird Care

More than 700 runners were kept cool and refreshed last Sunday at the Greenwich Park 5k and 10k Run.   Bluebird Care, who provide personal care and support to people living in their own homes across the Royal Borough of Greenwich, gave out almost 1,000 bottles of water to those taking part in the race.   Organised by Run Though UK, the event was the first of several taking place this year – all of which are designed to encourage people to get fit and active.

New campaign hopes to see Greenwich become dementia friendly

People across Greenwich now have the opportunity to find out more about dementia, thanks to a series of free workshops.The local award winning provider of personal care in the home, Bluebird Care Greenwich, has set itself the challenge of hosting Dementia Awareness Workshops in twenty-five different locations across the borough over the next 12 months.

Bluebird Care to create 100 new jobs across Greenwich!

Popular home care provider, Bluebird Care is pleased to announce a whole host of new job opportunities for the year ahead. With offices just outside of New Eltham, Bluebird Care already employ staff who provide care and support to the elderly, people with physical disabilities and adults with learning difficulties across the Royal Borough of Greenwich. Managing Director, Anoop Sekhon, commented:“Employing committed and passionate care assistants has been a huge part of our success in recent years.We will only ever be as good as the staff we employ and our staff are excellent! They are always professional and have real empathy for the people they look after.” In 2017 the organisation hopes to go even further by employing another 100 new care assistants, all of whom will take an active role in delivering high quality care.
