We'd like to share an incredibly moving poem we found from the Alzheimer's society.
'I’ve always loved you, I will till the end
My wife, my lover, and my very dear friend'
David Stow’s wife of 55 years, Marion, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in June 2023. After a ‘torrid time’ he cares for her at home, with the support of carers. David initially wrote this poem for close family, but is kindly sharing it to help other families affected by dementia.
