Bluebird Care Birmingham West expand their team with the appointment of Ted Richardson as Operations Director.

Bluebird Care Birmingham West are excited to announce the appointment of Ted Richardson as Operations Director.

Ted joins us with a wealth of experience in care, having previously been Director of Community Relations at Sunrise Senior Living, one of the UK’s premium quality residential care providers, and most recently as Business Development Manager at Bluebird Care Franchise, responsible for a portfolio of 50 franchisees across the Midlands.

Prior to working in care Ted held various management roles within business development, sales and customer experience, at a variety of major corporates.

We’re incredibly excited that Ted has joined us. From the moment we started talking to Ted as our Business Development Manager we knew he had certain skills and characteristics that would only enhance our growth plans and ultimately enable us to deliver the best quality of care possible in the Midlands. With the growth plans we have in place, the addition of Ted gives us even more confidence in the delivery of our strategy. We’re also incredibly grateful to Phil Pegler, Managing Director of Bluebird Care, and the national franchise team, who have also bought into our growth plans and have ultimately given us the opportunity to recruit Ted as part of the team, which will not only benefit our current and future business, but also the franchise as a whole.

The opportunity to Join Bluebird Care Solihull and work with Indy and Kam Goraya to help bring to life a plan that will truly make a difference in the social care sector within the local Midlands market was one that I could not be more excited about. I immediately felt their passion and enthusiasm to not just be a successful care business but to be the best service provider and employer. I bought into their vision and growth plans and feel privileged to be part of the Management team that will deliver these. I have worked in care for a number of years now. I started at Sunrise Senior Living, a premium care home provider where I felt that I had found my calling helping make a difference to people’s lives. My corporate background in customer service and leadership has helped me make positive changes in the care sector ensuring I get the best outcomes possible for the whole team and the customer. My goal now in the home care sector is to help provide services to the local community that will enable people to stay in their own homes!

Ted Richardson

Outside of work Ted is a volunteer for Macmillan, a keen golfer (although in need of practice by his own admission!) and is a season ticket holder at Aston Villa Football Club – but above it all he enjoys spending his free time with his family.
