A new care visit monitoring system, iConnect, has been launched at Bluebird Care Worthing. The system allows the office and management team to ensure care visits are running on time.

A new care visit monitoring system, iConnect, has been launched at Bluebird Care Worthing. The system allows the office and management team to ensure care visits are running on time.

iConnect is an intuitive point-of-care solution designed for providers that deliver homecare, extra care and supported living services.

The key features of iConnect include:
  • It delivers live rosters and important service user information e.g. tasks to be completed and access codes are sent directly to a care assistant’s mobile phone
  • It has the ability to record actual visit times using small RFID tags placed discreetly in the service user’s home. There is no need to use a service user’s landline.
  • The data collected is fed back to Staffplan Roster in real-time and updates bookings with actual service delivery information and proof of location, providing both a live operational view and verifiable electronic timesheets
  • Real time electronic call monitoring and two way communication with care assistants
  • It provides clear visibility of care assistant locations, improving field worker safety with comprehensive alarm strategies
The iConnect system enhances the safety of our customers and staff by guaranteeing that care staff follow the correct visit arrival, duration times and tasks. The system is also helpful to care assistants who work alone as it keeps them in contact with the office throughout their working day.

If a care assistant is running late, the coordinator is automatically notified, allowing us to call the customer to inform them. If a care assistant misses a visit, an alert is sent to enable the office to cover the visit with another care assistant, and also identify why the visit wasn't made as planned. This enables us to provide a better quality of service to our customers.
