On the 6th of September Bluebird Care Worthing took part in a Charity Fun Day which was hosted by Cubitt & West.

The charity fun day was held in aid of Action Medical Research for Children and Hannah’s Holiday Home Appeal. Action Medical Research for children help save and change children’s lives through medical research, and are currently funding over 75 projects at leading hospitals, universities and specialist centres across the UK.

Hannah’s Holiday Home has been set up in memory of Hannah Westbrook an inspirational and brave young girl. At 8 years old Hannah was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s disease, throughout her treatment, Hannah along with her family and friends actively raised £10,000 in just 3 years for the Piam Brown Ward, which is the children’s cancer ward based at Southampton General Hospital.

Hannah loved family life and spending time with family and loved ones was very important to her, so Hannah’s family purchased a holiday home allowing them to offer families who have lost someone very special to them, some valuable family time together away from it all.

The Charity Fun Day was a great success overall with many activities including a BBQ, cake sale, five a side tournament, face painting, tombola and much more all to raise funds for these worthy causes.

Bluebird Care Worthing participated by holding a ‘Guess The Name Of The Bear’ stall donating all of the proceeds of the game to the charity fund.

We were delighted to be part of such a wonderful day, and we would like to thank everybody who attended and took part on the day.
