Bluebird Care Worthing is supporting Macmillan Cancer Support this September by raising awareness of their “World’s Biggest Coffee Morning” campaign.

Research by Macmillan revealed that in 2016 2.5 million people in the UK were living with cancer, with this figure set to rise to four million by 2030. In 2017, Macmillan research suggested that over 1,000 individuals are being diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK.

Macmillan’s first ever coffee morning took place in 1990 and since then the fundraising event has raised over £165.5 million for Macmillan Cancer Support. One in every three people will face cancer and the money raised for Macmillan will make sure no one faces cancer alone.

Fiona Ryder, Director of Bluebird Care Worthing, said:

“With so many coffee mornings taking place across the UK this year, we strongly encourage everyone to support their local community by attending an event near them where possible.

At Bluebird Care Worthing we like to support this campaign each year, raising awareness of Macmillan Cancer Support and the incredible work they do.”

On Friday 28th September, coffee mornings are being held all over the country to raise money for this worthy and life changing cause!
