Michaela Phillips, our Lead Coordinator, was honoured to be shortlisted for Domiciliary Care Worker of the Year at the Worcestershire Health and Social Care Awards 2021.

Michaela is renowned for being caring, patient and empathetic, taking the time to listen to and understand the daily challenges that the customers and carers are facing.

Her knowledge of customers and carers is excellent, enabling us to organise regular runs, helping continuity and ensuring carers receive regular hours, which is an issue for many care companies.

With excellent organisational skills, her efficient planning of challenging periods such as school holidays, carer holidays and the festive period ensures that our team can have time off.

Her administrative and planning skills are excellent, having the ability to think clearly under pressure.

Meanwhile, Michaela’s mum, and colleague, Mel Fenton, our Lead Supervisor, was shortlisted as a finalist at Bluebird Care’s National Covid Hero’s Awards. Mel was shortlisted from a franchise network of over 200 businesses.

Mel's excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail ensures that our customers are always safe and well cared for and that our carers are not only upkeeping Bluebird Care's high standards of care, but also that they are teh best in the business.

We are so proud of Michaela and her mum, Mel. They are both incredible at what they do, what a heroic mum-daughter duo.
