Providing Care in a Pandemic

Published: 20/04/2021

Well, last year was somewhat challenging, wasn't it! Luckily, due to our fabulous, dedicated care team, we managed to continue to provide 1st class care during the Covid-19 pandemic.

One thing the Covid-19 pandemic has taught us is that we can adapt and change with remarkable speed and efficiency.

Bluebird Care Worcester and Wychavon has had to adapt to a very different way of working to promote the health and well being of our customers, their families and our care team.  Our business contingency planning has been challenged over the last year as never before, but we have managed to continue to provide the first class care that defines our service.

With the introduction of additional Covid-19 training, extra PPE, face masks and visors along with weekly testing of all our care staff, our carers have been amazingly resolute in their desire to put our customers first.  They have in many cases, gone above and beyond, to ensure customer safety and to give customers the confidence that they need to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

Offering home care services during a pandemic was always going to be challenging, but our carers have managed to skillfully navigate this particular rocky road and look forward to continuing their great work.
