Building Our Community!

At Bluebird Care Liverpool we're proud to be part of the communities we serve. Discover how we strive to connect with local people through personalised home care, community partnerships, fundraising initiatives and organising local events. From raising awareness with local charities to celebrating the people and places that make our the Wirral special, we're committed to making a positive difference both inside and outside the homes of our customers.

Backing Our Community

At Bluebird Care Wirral we believe the best standard of care extends far beyond the homes of our customers. We believe that supporting the emotional wellbeing of our local community is just as important as providing outstanding home care.

According to Samaritans every 10 seconds they respond to a call for help from someone struggling to cope. Their volunteers provide a safe, confidential space for anyone experiencing emotional distress, loneliness or feelings of despair, offering support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Every day, our care professionals witness the importance of human connection and reliable relationships. Many of the people we support live alone or experience periods of isolation, making compassionate conversation and meaningful companionship an essential part of the care we provide. We understand that sometimes the act of being routinely present can make a significant difference to someone's wellbeing.

That is why Bluebird Care Liverpool is proud to support the Samaritans through fundraising events, sponsored challenges and community initiatives. By working together, we hope to raise awareness of the invaluable support they provide while helping ensure that no one in our community has to face difficult times alone.

Throughout the year, our team will be taking part in a variety of fundraising activities, including charity events, office initiatives and sponsored challenges. Every contribution, no matter how small, helps the Samaritans continue providing their lifesaving service to those who need it most.

We believe that caring is more than the support we provide during each visit: it is about building stronger communities, promoting kindness amongst neighbours and ensuring that everyone knows help is always available.

Together, we care. Together, we can make a difference.

Behind Bars Calisthenics Academy

At Bluebird Care Wirral everything we do starts with a simple, heartfelt belief: care is about helping our neighbours live full, happy lives. While many families know us for helping elderly loved ones stay safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes across Birkenhead and the Wirral, our commitment doesn't stop at home care, it extends to our entire local community.

We are truly delighted to be a sponsor of Behind Bars Calisthenics Academy CIC, an extraordinary community project based at the Cavendish Community Hub in Birkenhead.

Through our partnership, Bluebird Care Wirral directly funds free weekly sessions for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in the Academy’s energetic Little Ninjas classes.

Behind Bars gives local children a welcoming, non-judgmental space to explore Ninja Warrior-style obstacles, move their bodies, and discover their inner strength. Seeing neurodivergent kids build self-confidence, learn physical skills, and feel completely supported for who they are is something that fills our entire care team with pride.

Lovely company who truly care about the people in their care, from Management through to the Carers, residents are treated with utter dignity, respect & professionalism at all times..

At Bluebird, we take pride in being more than just a care provider. We are deeply connected to the communities we serve across the Wirral. Our caregivers, many of whom are local to the area, understand the unique challenges and opportunities that come with living in this region, and they are dedicated to providing care that tackles any of these issues and reflects the values and needs of our community.

Understanding Local Needs

The Wirral is home to a diverse population, with a growing number of elderly residents who wish to maintain their independence while receiving the support they need to thrive. Our local team understands the importance of familiar surroundings and personal connections, and that’s why we strive to keep our clients in the comfort of their own homes.

Across Merseyside we’ve seen an increased demand for specialised dementia and Parkinson’s care as more families seek professional help to manage these complex conditions. At Bluebird, we work closely with local healthcare providers and families to ensure our clients receive comprehensive, high-quality care.

Engaging with the Community

We believe that being an active part of the community means giving back. Our team is committed to regularly participating in   local events, charitable initiatives, and awareness campaigns, partnering with respected local organizations to promote well-being and offer support to seniors and vulnerable individuals. Most recently, our dedicated team collaborated with our sister branches, including Chester and Liverpool Bluebird Care, in a cross-country cycling relay to raise funds for our local Alzheimer's Society, reflecting our collective commitment to making a meaningful difference.
