Bluebird Care are very active in helping to raise awareness about Dementia, we train our care team on Dementia and our office is a member of the Dementia Friendly High Street initiative. Please read the message below from the Joseph Rowntree Foundation:

As many of you will be aware, Comic Relief and JRF have been jointly funding the growing DEEP network, which brings together groups of people with dementia from across the UK who want to influence change.

On Thursday 26th February, in a Comic Relief first, the Red Nose Day twitter feed will be dedicated to the issue of dementia. Follow all the conversation throughout the day - @rednoseday using the hashtag #DementiaDiaries

The dedicated Twitter feed aims to amplify the voices of people living with dementia, to create opportunities for people to share the realities of living with the illness and to raise the profile of the issue in the UK.

The hope is that the nation will get a unique insight into life with dementia and that it will be a chance to hear from people who have benefitted from the money raised through Red Nose Day.

We wanted to bring this to your attention because your voice will be a valuable contribution in this discussion. Comic Relief want to create a diverse and open conversation about dementia on the day so please get involved on Thursday 26th February and share your experiences of how you’ve been touched by dementia.

Spread the news and share information about the day with your family, friends and colleagues to help raise awareness of this fantastic initiative. The Twitter takeover will create a new platform to tell stories and share knowledge about dementia.
