Bluebird Care Wiltshire South have awarded Carer of the Year Award to Natasha Plummer.

The COVID-19 pandemic has posed a monumental challenge to Care Assistants across the UK, who have risen to become celebrated heroes across the country. As the year draws to a close, Bluebird Care Wiltshire South have paid tribute to their Care Assistants and rewarded one in particular, who has gone above and beyond their call of duty.

NatashaNatasha Plummer won Bluebird Care Wiltshire South’s Carer of the Year Award for outstanding care and going above and beyond for her customers to retain dignity, independence, and a good quality of life. Having no previous experience in the sector, Natasha’s confidence and skillset has grown over the last twelve months to the point where she is seen as a role model among colleagues, and a point of contact to new Care Assistants at the Bluebird Care office.

Natasha was rewarded with £100 vouchers as a gesture of appreciation from her employer and said.

I felt somewhat overcome with emotion for receiving the award, after nomination by my colleagues. I was nervous when I was new to care and had original doubts about my ability. However, with the support of Bluebird Care Wiltshire South and the great customers we serve, I have really enjoyed the last twelve months. I hope to now continue to support not only our wonderful customers in the community, but also my fellow colleagues as well as new joiners.
