Meet the team
Jonathan & Vanessa Billington
Jonathan’s family have worked in the social care sector for nearly 40 years. Prior to Bluebird Care, Jonathan spent most of his career in account management servicing large multinationals within the IT and Telecoms sector. Vanessa is a trained therapist with 15 years of experience in providing health and beauty treatments and managing key accounts. Together they share a passion for quality and for ‘getting things right’ for their customers.
It gives us great satisfaction not only to be able to provide care, but also offer career opportunities to local people who are equally passionate about helping others in the community.
Registered Care Manager
Lesley is our Registered Care Manager at Bluebird Care Wiltshire South she joined in November 2019. From a young age Lesley had a passion for looking after others and knew from then that her future would involve caring. Lesley studied Health and Social Care at college and then gained a BSc (Hons) degree in Social Care studies at The University of Winchester. After graduating Lesley joined a large national organisation as a support care manager with adults with complex needs. She was accountable for ensuring that the service ran efficiently and service users where provide with excellent care. Whilst working as a support care manager Lesley completed her Registered Managers Award and went on to progress to a Registered Care Manager
Deputy Care Manager
Heidi has been in the care setting for many years. Heidi started with Bluebird Care Wiltshire South in December 2016 as a care assistant. Heidi then became a supervisor for our Amesbury team. Heidi has her level 3 in Health and Social care and has worked her way up the “career pathway” to Deputy Care Manager in September 2019. Heidi is also our medication trainer ensuring the team have the skills and knowledge to complete their job role following policies and procedures.
Recruitment and Marketing Manager
Amy has been in the care setting since 2014. Amy was a part time care assistant when she joined Bluebird Care Wiltshire South, and progressed along our ‘Career Pathway’ to become one of our supervisors supporting the teams out in the community, Amy is now our recruitment and marketing manager showing dedication throughout the recruitment process. Amy also has her level 3 in Health and Social care. Amy is our current Moving and handling trainer and basic life support trainer ensuring the teams have the skills and knowledge to complete their job role out in the field.
Leanne started homecare in September 2017. Leanne soon realised she really enjoyed working in the industry.
After two years of doing care Leanne gained her Level 3 and decided she would like a new challenge, but wanted to stay within care. Leanne applied for a job as a coordinator for a temp position of 6 months to see if Leanne would enjoy the role. As Leanne’s contract was coming to an end and her husband had moved down to Tidworth with his job, Leanne decided to move from Wales to the area and decided it time to start looking for a coordinator job again and here she is.
Josh started at Bluebird care in December 2017 as a care assistant. Josh wanted to progress through the “career pathway“ and make more a career that he loves doing. Josh worked hard in his probation and that paid off when he was promoted to team lead. Josh has worked in care for 5 years previously and always want to career progress. Josh’s dedication and hard work paid off as he was shortly promoted to Care supervisor, which he was over joyed with. Josh quoted “Working for Bluebird was the best decision I have made. I have achieved so much over the last 3 years.”
