Laura came to Bluebird Care Wiltshire South with a great understanding of the Health & Social Care Sector having grown up in her own family run residential care home. Laura’s career began working in a pharmacy where she became a qualified dispensing assistant. At the age of 21 Laura went looking for a new challenge and ventured into the corporate world of banking. During this time she became a mortgage advisor and a premier account manager. Both roles provided different challenges and allowed her to broaden her knowledge of the business environment.
In 2010 Laura made the decision to join the family business at the care home she began working as a care assistant and progressed to become Deputy Manager, completing her NVQ3 in Health and Social Care. When the decision was made to sell the family business, Laura moved to Wiltshire and joined Bluebird Care Wiltshire South as care coordinator.
This is a crucial role within the team, as Laura is responsible for ensuring that our staff are always in the right place at the right time.
Amy was a part time care assistant when she joined us, and progressed along our ‘Career Pathway’ to become one of our lead care assistants and is now our office administrator. Amy divides her time between providing outstanding care to our customers in the community and working in the office. She is an excellent example of how giving 100% effort in everything you do can lead to advancement.
Amy has taken to the role with great skill and we look forward to working with her as she continues to develop her career with Bluebird Care. Amy is working towards her NVQ 3 in Health & Social Care and is also our new Moving & Handling Trainer.
Heidi has worked her way along our ‘Career Pathway’ from care assistant to lead care assistant, she is now taking on the role of care supervisor. Heidi holds a vital role as she supports our team of care assistants from induction and then on throughout their career journey with Bluebird Care.
