Alzheimer's Society Sponsorships
At Bluebird Care, we are proud to be a sponsor of the Alzheimer’s Society in 2024, supporting their vital work in raising awareness and providing care for those affected by dementia. Our commitment is not just words. Two of our directors, Nigel and Lesley, joined the office team in a Memory Walk and also took on the pledge challenge cycle ride from Bradford on Avon to Bath, raising essential funds and helping shine a light on the challenges faced by those living with dementia. This hands-on involvement reflects our dedication to making a real difference for the local community.

Dementia Bus
Experiencing Dementia First-Hand - we hosted the innovative ‘Dementia Bus’ in Trowbridge, giving our staff, local healthcare professionals, and community members a unique insight into life with dementia. This interactive simulator, provided by Training2Care, recreated the challenges faced by those living with the condition, helping participants better understand and empathise with their experiences. This impactful training highlights practical ways to improve care and communication, reinforcing our commitment to supporting those living with dementia in our community.

Dementia Care Training in Action
We’re proud to support dementia awareness and provide practical training for our community. We hosted an interactive session at North Wilts Bowling Club, helping members recognise dementia signs and empower care that is both confident and empatic. With insights from Carla, our Dementia Care training expert, our 2 GPs from a medical perspective, it was an inspiring ,educational afternoon. Click below to read more.
