Meet the team
Our Westminster & City of London Bluebird Care Team consists of company owners Peter & Maria Slough, Registered Care Manager Krisztina Korpas, our fantastic office team who support our customers and staff, and our friendly, passionate and incredible Care Assistants who are out delivering excellent high quality care to customers in their own homes all 365 days of the year.
My role is to make sure our staff are fully trained in every aspect of the job and that they have the right knowledge to perform the job professionally and safely.
We have implemented the new Care Certificate which includes a full five-day training course covering the 15 core standards of care. I am proud to be a part of making a difference to so many people's lives.
I have over 20 years’ experience in care and training, and am also co-chair for Skills for Care (North West London workforce development).
It's great to be part of the team and be working with people who embrace change and quality. It's a very friendly, caring team who support one another, their staff and of course the individuals we care for.
I am passionate about people receiving good quality care that meets their needs and wishes in a dignified way.
I have many years of care experience, from caring to management and training. I am a qualified teacher specialising in dementia, end of life and a wide subject knowledge in social care, as well as a college assessor and volunteer trainer assessor with St John Ambulance.
I believe every individual is unique, we should all embrace this and work with them to find how we can support them through their life's journey, so that they can fulfil their dreams and aspirations.
Fiona joined the company at the start of 2019 as part of our finance team. She has over 20 years’ experience in the Finance Industry, working in London as a Business and IT Project Manager for several UK banks, a TV Network, and a theatre ticketing and marketing company.
After taking a little time out to start a family and spend time with her children, Fiona studied for AAT Accounting qualifications and for the last 7 years has been using these new skills in supporting several regional Bluebird Care offices within their finance teams.
Fiona primarily looks after our Customer’s financial accounts and invoicing and is very happy to assist with any questions our customer’s may have with this aspect of their care package.

When not working Fiona likes to spend time with her family and friends. She enjoys travelling, attending shows and concerts, Pilates, playing tennis, and after 20 years in central London - a bit of country life!
