Meet Chloe, our new Registered Hub Manager for West Devon

I’m Chloe, your new Registered Hub Manager for the Bluebird Care West Devon Hub. 

I have worked within the care sector since I left school; during my time in education I undertook work experience at a specialist learning disability nursing home. Once I left school, I chose to go and work there, providing help and support to people living with a range of learning disabilities. 

I spent two years working there, before moving into agency work as a care assistant. This was a position which allowed me to work in a wide range of care settings, from hospitals and nursing homes to mental health, dementia, and end of life care. 

I grew my career with the agency, going from carer, to co-ordinator, team leader, branch manager. I entered the world of domiciliary care in early 2019 and absolutely fell in love with it. Since then, I have been working as a registered manager in domiciliary care.

In my personal life, I love spending time outdoors, particularly by the seaside. I grew up in Cornwall by the sea, which is where my love of the beach comes from. When I was 17, I moved to the Midlands, where I stayed until August 2020. After deciding that I wanted to be closer to my family, I moved to Yelverton near Dartmoor last year, and now live just a five-minute walk from the moors. 
 
I’m a real walking enthusiast and I love nothing more than heading out on a walk with my dog. I also love practicing Yoga and tending to my homegrown vegetables in my allotment. 
 
I think that my passion for providing care comes from the fact that I have always enjoyed helping people and making a difference. What excites me about my new role is being able to get out and about in the local community, providing support to individuals which will allow them to remain living safely and independently in their own homes. 
 
This is a really exciting opportunity to be able to provide outstanding live in and night care in a place that I love. I am so excited to be a Devon Bluebird!
