Date: [13th March 2017] Press Release for Immediate Release

Bluebird Care East Devon, Exeter and Exmouth support and sponsor Age UK Exeter’s Fun Run
Bluebird Care East Devon, Exeter and Exmouth, the local award-wining homecare provider, announced its sponsorship and support of Age UK Exeter’s 80’s Retro Run.
Over 700 runners will take to the streets of Exeter this Sunday (Sunday March 19th) for the 10K challenge, now in its 4th year. This year will see the run being restyled as a Retro Run, as part of the Age UK Exeter 30th Anniversary celebrations.
Runners of all ages will gather in Princesshay before moving to the High Street for the start of the run. After treading the main roads through the city, participants will head out through Riverside Valley Park before returning along the canal to finish at Piazza Terracina.
The event is supported by Bluebird Care East Devon, Exeter and Exmouth together with a number of other local, reputable businesses serving the community. Exeter Sports Academy will provide a warm up session at the start of the race and Radio Exe will greet the runners as they finish, playing 80s classics throughout the morning.
The Retro Run will raise much needed funds to support Age UK Exeter’s invaluable work with older people in the city. Event organiser Jacqui Cornish said “This year we are really stepping up the fun element of this run and look forward to seeing people in full colour 80s glad rags on the day.  We are encouraging people to come along and cheer on the runners”.
Director William Flint said, “We are proud to support our local Age UK who we collaborate and work with regularly, specifically with our own Bluebird Care Wellbeing programme. The work Martyn and his team do really set the standard for care within our community. We will be there on Sunday supporting the runners with cakes and biscuits to help re-fuel and celebrate”.
