Angie and Heather Bluebird Care winners

Bluebird Care Welwyn & Hatfield is celebrating after two members of its team received recognition at the 2026 Bluebird Care Regional Awards.

The branch, which competes in the London & South-East regional category, was delighted to see Angela Frost named the winner of the Community Engagement Award, while Heather Notley was recognised as a finalist for Care Coordinator of the Year.

The awards celebrate the dedication, commitment and outstanding contribution of Bluebird Care colleagues across the region, recognising those who go above and beyond to make a difference to customers, colleagues and their local communities.

Angela Frost – Community Engagement Award Winner

Angela, known affectionately as Angie, was recognised for the positive impact she has made through her work in the local community.

Week after week, Angie runs singing workshops at two local community hubs, bringing music, laughter and joy to the people she works with. Her sessions provide much more than entertainment — they create opportunities for people to connect with others, build confidence and enjoy shared experiences.

Her commitment to making a difference extends beyond her day-to-day role, demonstrating the importance of community, connection and companionship in supporting people's wellbeing.

Angie's enthusiasm and passion for bringing people together through music made her a deserving winner of the Community Engagement Award.

“It’s about bringing people together”

Angie said:

I’m absolutely delighted to receive the Community Engagement Award. Singing is something that brings people together, and I love seeing the smiles, laughter and enjoyment the workshops create. It’s so rewarding to know that something as simple as singing together can make such a difference to someone’s day.

Heather Notley – Care Coordinator of the Year Finalist

The team was also incredibly proud to see Heather Notley named as a finalist in the Care Coordinator of the Year category.

As a Care Coordinator, Heather plays an important role in ensuring customers receive the right support and that care is organised effectively around their individual needs.

Her recognition as a regional finalist reflects her dedication, organisation and commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care, as well as the important role she plays in supporting both customers and Care Experts.

Being selected as a regional finalist from across the London & South-East region is a fantastic achievement and one that the whole Welwyn & Hatfield team is proud of.

Celebrating our amazing team

Operations Manager Diana Kaganda said:

We are incredibly proud of both Angie and Heather. Angie’s Community Engagement Award is so well deserved. The joy she brings through her singing workshops is infectious, and she gives so much of her time and energy to creating positive experiences for people in our local community.

Heather being recognised as a regional finalist is also a fantastic achievement. She works incredibly hard to ensure our customers receive the best possible support, and her dedication and commitment are clear in everything she does.

These awards are a wonderful reflection of the amazing people we have within our team. Congratulations to Angie and Heather — we couldn’t be prouder.

The success of Angie and Heather highlights the many different ways the Bluebird Care Welwyn & Hatfield team makes a difference — from providing outstanding care and coordinating support to creating meaningful connections within the wider community.

Congratulations to Angie on her well-deserved regional award win and to Heather on becoming a regional finalist. We’re incredibly proud of you both!
