Regenerate Rise Quiz Night

Last Friday, a team of five from Bluebird Care, topically called ‘ 50 Birds of Blue’ took part in the Regenerate Rise quiz night.

Last Friday, a team of five from Bluebird Care, topically called ‘ 50 Birds of Blue’ took part in the Regenerate Rise quiz night. 
 
Regenerate RISE (Reaching the ISolated Elderly) based in Putney, provide a combination of services which include lunches, outings, activities and home visiting. 
 
Competition was hot but we came a proud 3^rd out of 11 teams, missing the top spot by only 2 ½ points!  Despite the disappointment of not coming first we were proud to help raise over £800 that night for Regenerate’s re-ablement project.  Their aim is to build a 10 bed unit above their centre in Putney for older people on discharge from hospital.  This will mean that those who no longer need hospital care but who are not yet ready to be alone, can be cared for and nurtured by Mo Smith MBE and her team until they are ready to return home.
 

Pictured are three Regenerate Rise clients who participated in a recent photo shoot to promote their fundraising campaign. 
 
They have to date raised enough money to purchase the two flats above their Centre and are now working towards the cost of constructing the Centre. 

We are proud to support them in bettering the future of older people in our community.
