Raising Money for Charity at the Chingford Village Festival

Bluebird Care Waltham Forest staff, family and friends had a stall at the Chingford Village Festival on Saturday 28 June 2014 and raised money for a charity called the Cinnamon Trust.

The Cinnamon trust provides short term fosterers for dogs and cats while elderly and terminally ill people are in hospital.

We held a raffle, the 1st prize being a lovely hamper crammed with high quality foods and drink, and had fun raising the money with a tombola, which was popular with all.

The team worked hard all day giving out leaflets to inform people of the care that can be provided in their own homes also giving out balloons to the children, and some of the adults!

Natalie McLaren, Registered Manager, said:

I was overwhelmed, with the volume of interest and enquires made both for care, and to work in care and had a thoroughly enjoyable day. We were delighted to have raised money for a wonderful charity."

Wendy Edis, Director, stated:

It was lovely to meet so many local people, out having an enjoyable day, while also raising money for a very worthwhile cause. The children were thrilled to be given the balloons and we were very pleased with the interest we received from people, who were keen to know about care in their own homes."
