πΆ Tea & Tunes with Jean & Terri
Jean and Terri enjoyed a lovely afternoon out at Tea & Tunes at the United Services Club in Chingford. βπΆ
Jean really enjoyed getting out and about, and it was wonderful to see her recognise and remember some of the songs from her younger years. A lovely afternoon filled with music, memories and smiles! β€οΈ

Itβs so rewarding to hear that the care and support we provide is making a positive difference to our customers and their families. A huge thank you to Gloria and the whole team for their continued dedication, compassion and hard work. π₯°π
π§Ά A Special Knitting Moment
Gulsen joined us for coffee morning and knitting club, picking up knitting needles for the first time since she was a teenager.
Gulsen lives with Alzheimer's, and yesterday she joined us for a coffee morning and knitting club. She hadn't held a pair of knitting needles since she was a teenager. But the moment the wool was placed in her hands, something shifted. Her fingers remembered before her words could explain it. Stitch by stitch, decades fell away, and she didn't want to stop.
We watched her work with a speed and confidence that surprised everyone in the room, her face breaking into the widest smile. π "This is the Cyprus way of knitting," she told us proudly, showing off a technique she learned as a girl in Nicosia, sitting beside her sister. For a few precious hours, she was back there again.
The most beautiful part? Her carer Shona used to knit too, as a young girl. So the two of them sat together, needles clicking away, both rediscovering something they thought they'd left behind a long time ago. π
This is why we do what we do. Not for the paperwork or the routines, but for moments like this β when a hobby thought lost forever comes flooding back, and you get to witness someone's whole face light up with a piece of themselves they hadn't seen in years.
πΈ Celebrating World Photography Day
We celebrated World Photography Day by sharing a special collection of photos featuring our carers and customers, capturing some of their favourite and most treasured memories.
It was a lovely reminder of the importance of memories, meaningful moments and the stories behind every photograph. β€οΈ
