Treasuring Wakefield

Bluebird Care’s treasure map of Wakefield was the point of interest for our recent fundraising event on behalf of the Wakefield Hospice at their Spring Fair.

A lot of visitors to our stand noted that the map of Wakefield resembles the head of our Queen – have a look and see what you think!

We chose this map game because it represents all the areas across Wakefield which we care for.

We had many donated prizes from our kind associates and local community.

These included: a scrumptious Easter Cake baked by Elsie Clement; afternoon tea voucher by the Kyte Hotel, a framed picture of a street in Whitby painted and donated by Jen Street and another afternoon tea voucher for 2 at the Cedar Court Hotel by Lynsey Bashforth solicitors.

We would like to thank the generosity of all the people that gifts for the day.

There was of fun and happy people on the day.

In total we raised £200 at this event and another £114 at our recent bag packing at the Ackworth co-op.

Thank you to all our staff at Bluebird Care for continuing to support our fundraising activities.

Come and visit us at Sainsbury’s, Trinity walk, on April 12th, as we continue to raise more money for good causes.
