Bluebird Care (Wakefield) and Bashforth-Young Solicitors came together on Friday 28th March to support the community of South Elmsall.

Working in partnership they will be subsidising the costs of Friday lunches at Lanes Café from £2.50 and £1.50, the last Friday of the month.

At a time when communities are facing many economic challenges it is good to see places like the Westfield Centre innovatively integrating and housing a wide range of local services, helping them to become accessible and responsive to the local need.

Clare Baxter, Town Clerk commented:

It is so good to see local business not only support us financially but also to give up their valuable time to chat to the locals that have attended regularly since we opened. We are passionately committed to gong the extra mile at the Westfield Centre’

Narinder Gill, Director of Bluebird Care, whose company provides care visits at home enlightened on the success of the partnership:

This lunchtime initiative is a testament to the importance of  good old fashioned values - a chance to sit, chat and enjoy each other’s company whilst eating a delicious hot meal. It is a privilege to be a part of this.’

Bashforth-Young, specialist solicitor for wills, trusts and probate who has recently opened her offices in South Elmsall, also her home town adds:

As you enter Lanes Cafe you are struck by the positive atmosphere, laughter and energy that has been created by a very small but determined team.  Giving back to the community is hugely rewarding.’

If you would like to find out more about the work we do, or to book for a true dining experience on Fridays please contact the Westfield Centre in South Elmsall.
