We’re excited to announce our sponsorship of Paul Terry who will ride for Bluebird Care throughout Yorkshire, raising funds for our chosen charity Wakefield Hospice.

We’re delighted to announce our sponsorship of Paul Terry who is cycling to raise funds for Wakefield Hospice. On Sunday 21st September Paul will be cycling 72 miles in an extreme ride across Yorkshire, including a demanding stage through Holme Moss Moore, which was part of the grueling Tour de France route.

Paul’s venture into fundraising for Wakefield Hospice comes from a personal place. He explains how

my family have collectively held and taken part in fundraising for various Hospices over the years.  Sadly we experienced firsthand the amazing work that hospices do when my granddad, Jack Wedderburn, spent his final weeks in one in 2010. It was a great comfort to see him receiving the best care imaginable during his final weeks.”

Wakefield Hospice is committed to providing the highest level of symptom management and care for people who have advanced active, progressive and life threatening illness and is an extremely worthwhile cause.

Paul also points out

I am aware of the work that Bluebird Care does and the fantastic reputation that they have within my community; it makes me proud to wear their colours, whilst raising money for this great cause. The £100 donation from Bluebird Care Wakefield is a great start.”

At Bluebird Care Wakefield we are very excited to support Paul Terry in his personal endeavour to raise money for Wakefield Hospice and give other families the quality care and support that his family received.
