Celebrating customer dignity with Roche Legal!

How do we promote dignity?

At Bluebird Care Wakefield and Kirklees, one of our main priorities is maintaining the dignity of our customers. We believe it should be within everybody's rights to stay in the comfort and familiarity of their home for as long as they can; which is why we deliver compassionate, high-quality home care.

All our care assistants are Dignity Champions, meaning they have gone through a series of steps to open their eyes to what it means to maintain dignity and why it's so important for our customers.

Afternoon Tea with Roche Legal

To celebrate Dignity Action Day this year, we decided to forge a new partnership with Roche Legal - a company that values customer dignity just as much as we do - to host an afternoon tea. We invited The Prince of Wales Hospice and our friends from Eitex and We Are Wakefield to sit down with us and enjoy a lovely afternoon of delicious food and good company.

This was a really exciting opportunity for some of the Wakefield-based businesses to get together to discuss our similar beliefs and values when it comes to the quality of our customer service. At Bluebird Care Wakefield and Kirklees, our customers are at the heart of everything we do, so we're always looking for new ways to meet our high standards and improve our services.

We are delighted to be supporting Dignity Action Day as this is a cause that is close to our hearts. We pride ourselves on the high quality care that we provide to our customers, and are proud to provide that care in a dignified manner.

What a lovely afternoon celebrating dignity in the workplace! The perfect event to kick start our partnership with Bluebird Care. What a lovely bunch of people.

Fundraising for The Prince of Wales Hospice

At Bluebird Care Wakefield and Kirklees, we often like to contribute towards our wider community. One of the ways we do this is by raising funds for some of our closest charities such as The Prince of Wales Hospice.

We've raised thousands of pounds for POW since we began our care journey by hosting raffles, tombolas and even bake sales and coffee mornings. For this event alone, we raised over £500 in aid of The Prince of Wales Hospice, which will help the charity provide for their patients and their patient's families.

We raised this money by selling raffle tickets during our afternoon tea event and by collecting donations from our community. The Prince of Wales Hospice collected 26 donation bags from us last week, with each bag worth £20!

Thank you for your continued support, we really do appreciate it.

Adrian, The Prince of Wales Hospice

As a home care company, we truly believe that our customers deserve to be treated as family. We care for them, we make them smile, and we give them something to look forward to, all whilst trying our hardest to retain their dignity and comfort.
