Bluebird Care Wakefield and Kirklees Awarded Employer of the Year

Bluebird Care Wakefield and Kirklees awarded Employer of the Year for the second time running!

We're so proud to have been named Employer of the Year for the second time! It's a privilege to have won last year, but to have been selected for a second time is truly incredible.

What is Employer of the Year?

The team at We Are Wakefield organised the entire ceremony this year. It was a great evening, and Capa College made for a lovely venue.

There were 12 categories for this year's awards. Employer of the Year was awarded to the employer who listens to their employees and creates an environment which helps them thrive and feel comfortable. We're proud to say that we do all those things and more. As demonstrated in our annual staff survey this year, one hundred percent of people who work at Bluebird Care Wakefield and Kirklees enjoy their jobs and feel supported by us. Not only do our staff have access to help and support whenever they need it, but they also receive many benefits such as discounts, refer-a-friend schemes, mileage allowances, gifts, and rewards.

We wanted to show our team how important they are to us by hosting our first-ever Bluebird Care Wakefield and Kirklees Awards! We'll share more details about this later in the month.

We're proud of what we do here and even prouder of the people who make it possible.

We even sponsored a tree!

We Are Wakefield took a sustainable approach. They decorated their tables with small Oak trees. These were supposed to symbolise growth within our businesses and the Wakefield district. They were decorated with little golden acorns and beautiful twinkling lights.

As a business that believes in a sustainable future, we were happy to have been able to sponsor one of these young oaks as part of our sustainability responsibility.
