A Carer, a Companion, a Friend

Companionship Care helps you remain independent and in control

Need some company?

Sometimes all we need is a hand to hold, a friendly face to chat to, someone to keep us company.

At Bluebird Care, we support our customers in more ways than one: we help them keep their homes tidy, make sure they eat three meals a day, and help them make and attend medical appointments. We’re there to make sure they have a clean change of clothes, a warm shower when they want one, and to help them start and end their day the right way.

But we’re not just carers; we’re confidants. Maybe even friends. Companionship is the key to a happy, fulfilled life. That’s why we’re not just there for the everyday stuff but for the fun and exciting stuff too. Church with Joan on a Sunday morning; lunch at the local pub with Ted, followed by a sunny afternoon stroll back home.

Grocery shopping, birthday parties - we’re here for it all!

Companionship Care

While our usual visits consist of supporting with personal care, medication, mealtimes, and household chores, we know that sometimes that’s not enough.

Companionship Care is there to keep you happy, healthy and independent. Whether it’s an occasional outing like a day trip to your favourite place or a weekly shopping visit, our Care Experts support you to keep doing the things that make you, you.

So, what can we do?

We’ll build your companionship package around you: your wishes, your values, your needs. To give you an idea of what your visits could look like, here’s a list of activities our companionship and social calls could include:

  • Grocery shopping
  • Outdoor activities such as walks to your favourite places (furry friends invited!)
  • Support getting to where you want to go, including appointments and events
  • Support with hobbies like knitting and painting (and everything in between!)
  • Help to attend social events like church, birthday parties, and family gatherings
  • Someone to accompany you to GP and hospital appointments

Perfect Pairings

When it comes to choosing a companion for you (or two), we try our very best to pair you with Care Experts who we think will match your preferences and interests. Looking for a friendly face to walk through the gardens with? We’ll find someone who appreciates the outdoors just as much as you.

We'll make sure you never have to give up the things you love most.
