We walked 13.5 miles for the memory walk for the Alzheimers Society

On Sunday 21st March, we set off on an epic walk to raise vital funds for the Alzheimers Society. We donned our walking boots, supporting t-shirts along with rucksacks full of goodies to keep us going. The weather was pefect, although at points it was very hot. The hills were high and the rivers were deep, but we rose to the challenge and tackled everything in our way to get to the finish line. We are started the walk in Salmon Leaps, Dinas Powys to ensure we were within the "stay local" guidelines. Starting at 10.30am we walked through the fields and it was beautiful. Some of our staff did the first 5 miles and decided that was enough for them. The remainder of us carried on and in fact got lost and went 3.5 miles out of our way, it was alot of fun all the same. Along the way people stopped to tell us stories of their loved ones who they had lost to dementia. It was certainly a bitter sweet but very enjoyable day. Until next year.....
